Yes, I am in network with Humana commercial plans. I am not, however, in network with Humana Medicaid plans. Because each employer may have a different plan within Humana, it will be important for you to confirm your benefits prior to our first session. If you do not have Humana and would like to utilize insurance, some plans cover Out of Network (OON) reimbursement that may cover a portion of the fees. You will need to call the number on the back of your insurance card to confirm this.
If you are using insurance, cost is dependent on your insurance plan, co-pay and deductible. Prior to the first session, you will be asked to contact your insurance company to confirm the benefits. Sessions are $125-145 though your out of pocket amount may be different if you are using insurance. Sliding scale is available on a limited basis. Accepted forms of payment are credit or debit Visa, MasterCard, American Express and HSA cards with any of the aforementioned logos.
Once we have had an initial, brief consultation call to determine that I have the appropriate skillset for you and you have determined that you would like to proceed, we will set a date for the initial session and you will receive an electronic intake packet to complete. All "paperwork" is online via a HIPAA-compliant platform with no need for printing, scanning, mailing, etc. This packet must be completed 24 hours prior to the first session. If you are unable to complete it 24 hours prior, we can reschedule to a more convenient time. Additionally, if you are using insurance, you will be asked to call your insurance company prior to the first session to confirm benefits. The client is responsible for any co-pays, deductibles or sessions that insurance does not cover.
After the Intake packet is fully completed, you will receive a link to the session and at the session time, we will meet similar to a Zoom or FaceTime meeting. Please ensure you are in a private, comfortable area where you can maintain confidentiality and feel comfortable with your surrounding so that you can focus on your session. The first session is more of a "getting to know you" session and will involve additional intake questions, time for you to ask any of your questions and I will more fully describe the therapeutic modalities that I use and provide a general idea of what to expect in future sessions.
My clients have reported enjoying the convenience of telehealth and that they have greater ability to meet when traveling to in-person sessions may be time-prohibitive. Sessions will be similar to Zoom or FaceTime meetings, but we will meet via a secure HIPAA-complaint platform.
Similar to in-person sessions, confidentiality is paramount. However, since we are meeting virtually, some of that responsibility will now be shared with you. Please ensure you are in a private and comfortable space where you are able to give undivided attention to the session without interruption.
Sessions can be accessed via smartphone using a free app or with a computer by following the provided link.
Yes, all sessions are confidential and this is of utmost importance. Sessions are conducted via HIPAA-compliant platform. Because sessions are conducted via telehealth at a location of your choice, it will be your responsibility to ensure you are in a private, confidential area. Additionally, please note that email is not secure so sensitive information should not be shared via email. There are limited exceptions to confidentiality and those include threat of harm to yourself or others and subpoena.
I am currently licensed in Kentucky and Indiana only and can provide therapy to residents of those states. Residents must be in one of these states at the time of the session.
